Submissions License & Contributor Agreement

By submitting content (“Submission”) to DriveAwareness, you agree to the following:

1) Ownership & license

You retain ownership. You grant DriveAwareness a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free, transferable and sublicensable license to host, reproduce, publish, display, perform, adapt (formatting/redaction), translate, distribute, and create limited editorial derivatives of your Submission in connection with our journalistic work, promotion of that work, and archival.

2) Warranties & representations

You represent that your Submission: (a) is your original work or you have all necessary rights; (b) does not infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; (c) does not contain unlawful content. You agree to redact sensitive personal information you do not want published.

3) Moral rights & credit

Where feasible, we will provide attribution or pseudonymous credit. You consent to reasonable editorial changes, including redactions and formatting.

4) Takedowns & disputes

We honor valid DMCA notices. We may also remove or modify content at our editorial discretion to reduce risk of harm. See /legal/dmca and /legal/corrections.

5) Chain of custody

You acknowledge our Evidence Handling Policy at /legal/evidence describing hashing, timestamps, and archival practices. We may request originals for verification.

6) Payment & consideration

Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, submissions are unpaid and provided as a contribution to the public record.

7) Governing terms

This Agreement incorporates our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In case of conflict, this Agreement governs with respect to Submissions.
